This proposal for a privately owned satellite parking facility to be located
near Robert Mueller Airport strived to achieve a climate protected effortless
transfer of users from their autos to a bus which would take them to the
airport and vice versa. The central user transfer building was designed to
be a focal point for travelers seeking services and to provide a unique
experience by incorporating unexpected materials and spaces. This same
building also contained user elective support functions such as laundry
services, auto servicing, concessions and banking as well as administrative
offices. The 1,000 plus parking spaces were all protected from the Texas
elements by utilizing open air carport structures.
